Natural Eating – dein Weg zu einer gesunden und ausgewogen Ernährung?

Wenn ich mir mein Essverhalten genau anschaue, würde ich es am ehesten in das Muster „Clean Eating“ einstufen. Ich versuche, industriell verarbeitete Produkte zu vermeiden, kaufe viel frisches Obst und Gemüse, backe ab und zu selber Brot und achte auf den nachhaltigen Konsum von Eiern, Fisch und Fleisch. Allerdings würde ich nie versuchen, einem Kunden „Natural Eating“ zu „verschreiben“. Denn meiner Ansicht nach ist das eine Einstellung, die man im Laufe der Zeit gewinnen kann. Die nicht von heute auf morgen erreichbar ist, sondern Schritt für Schritt erlebt werden muss.

Natural Eating

Angefangen hat alles, als ich eine Zeit lang im Ausland arbeitete. Wir wohnten im Hotel und haben dort gefrühstückt, mittags und abends im Restaurant gegessen. Zum selber kochen gab es keine Möglichkeit. Gleichzeitig trainierte ich gerade auf meinen 2. Marathon. Gerade zu dieser Zeit wäre eine optimierte Nährstoffzufuhr richtig gewesen, aber leider nicht umsetzbar. Ich versuchte natürlich, möglichst gesund und ausgewogen zu essen, aber dennoch waren viele Fertigprodukte im Spiel. Mit der Zeit bekam ich richtige Probleme. Ich bekam nach jeder Mahlzeit Bauchschmerzen, wachte nachts auf weil ich Kopfschmerzen oder Hustenanfälle bekam oder mir übel wurde. Was genau die Ursache war, konnte ich nicht ausmachen. Ich suchte über ein Jahr nach dem Grund für meine Probleme. Als ich wieder dauerhaft in der Heimat war, konnte ich wieder frisch kochen. Die Beschwerden wurden besser, ließen aber nicht komplett nach. Ich besuchte viele Ärzte, verzichtete auf mal auf das eine, mal auf das andere, aber wirklich verbessert hat sich die Situation leider nicht. Ich hatte die Hoffnung schon fast aufgegeben, als mir eine Kollegin eine Darmspezialistin empfiehl. Ich nahm den Tipp an und ließ mich durchchecken – Ergebnis: eine Darmsanierung muss her. Zig verschiedene Mittelchen über mehrerer Monate mehrmals täglich eingenommen, dazu Verzicht auf Zucker und Weizen. Na prima. Gesagt, getan. Denn wenn man sein Essverhalten aufgrund von permanenter Schmerzen ändern muss, ist man dazu durchaus bereit. Schon nach wenigen Wochen trat Besserung ein. Ich merkte recht schnell, dass sich was tut. Glücklicherweise hatte ich inzwischen einen anderen Job mit der Möglichkeit, jeden Mittag frisch zu kochen. Ich steckte meine Kollegen an und so saßen wir mittags gemütlich zusammen und bekochten uns gegenseitig mit frisch zubereiteten Gerichten, ohne Weizen, ohne Zucker, mit viel Gemüse und Salat. Irgendwann war meine Kur vorbei, ich durfte und konnte wieder alles essen, und hatte auch keine Probleme mehr. Es hatte sich aber doch was geändert. Ich konnte keine Fertigprodukte mehr essen. Allein beim Gedanken daran, stellten sich mir die Haare auf. Ich kochte eigentlich ausschließlich selbst. Und wenn wir ausnahmsweise mal beim Italiener zu Mittag aßen, fühlte ich mich danach zwar beschwerdefrei, aber müde, ausgelaugt und arbeitsunfähig. Immer häufiger fragte ich mich, warum ich mir das antun sollte, wenn es mir danach so schlecht ging. Warum nicht einfach NEIN sagen, selbst kochen und das gute Gefühl danach genießen? So kam es, dass ich immer seltener in „normale“ Restaurants ging. Ich legte immer mehr Wert auf gute Küche. Und genieße alles, was ich zu mir nehme. Wenn es mal nicht so gut ist, bin ich wirklich unbefriedigt und merke wie sich das auf meine Stimmung auswirkt.

Ich gebe zu, manchmal ist es auch nicht ganz einfach umzusetzen. Die Einladung hier zum Essen oder dort zu Freunden, die vielleicht nicht so großen Wert auf natürliche Produkte legen. Da gibt es dann auch mal eine Ausnahme. Aber wirklich gut geht es mir damit nicht und ich freue mich meistens wieder auf meine eigene Küche.

All das musst du selber erfahren. Ich kann Dir nicht sagen: iss keine Fertigprodukte mehr. Denn dann wird es nicht funktionieren. Ich kann dir den Weg dorthin zeigen, aber auch nur, wenn Du es möchtest. Gehen musst du den Weg selbst.
